Monza Chic Apartment

Apartment Renovation

Lissone (MI), Italy

2013

In a 1960s residential block, a standard apartment designed for mass living offers little space for personal expression.

Partitions are removed and replaced with a diagonal walkway that cuts through the plan, creating fluid circulation while subtly separating different living areas. This axis aligns with the building’s structural framework, giving the layout order and coherence. Walls are carved to host built-in shelves, counters, and cupboards, reducing the need for additional furniture, while full-height doors merge into the walls when opened, enhancing the sense of continuity.
