In a historic building in the heart of Berlin, a dark attic that once housed a sound engineer’s recording studio transforms into a luminous living space. The renovation responds to a wish for light, openness, and a terrace that frames panoramic views over the city, drawing the skyline into daily life.
The wooden structure of the penthouse is revealed, stripped of non-structural finishes and partitions accumulated over the years. Materials remain simple and refined: restored wood, black and white steel frames, kitchen and bathroom details, and carefully placed touches of colored tiles define the character of the space.
Light flows across surfaces, animating textures and volumes, while the city of Berlin stretches out beyond the terrace, creating a quiet dialogue between interior and skyline.
